The rules

1. Public-road use is permitted on streets posted at or below 25 mph.
2. LSV registration is not required for standard on-village cart use.
3. Driver must be at least 16 years old and hold a valid state driver's license.
4. The island is car-free — golf carts are the primary vehicle. Standard carts allowed on all island roads; 18 mph island-wide limit.
5. Every passenger must be in a designated seat with a functioning seat belt where required. No riding on laps, bumpers, or cargo beds.
