Family vs. couples

How to choose a cart size

Six-seater vs. four-seater vs. two-seater golf carts, e-bikes and mopeds — how to pick the right vehicle for a Carolina coast trip.

What size cart do I need for a family of 4–6?

A six-seater is the sweet spot for a family beach week — room for kids, gear and a cooler. Book early: six-seaters are the first to sell out in June and July.

Are car seats allowed?

Yes on street-legal (LSV) carts with seat belts. Ask your host about seat belt configuration before booking with car seats.

What's best for two adults?

A two-seater cart or a pair of e-bikes/scooters. Both are cheaper, easier to park, and better for date-night runs to a boardwalk or restaurant row.

E-bikes vs. golf cart for a couple?

E-bikes give you access to bike paths and beaches that carts can't reach. Carts give you cargo room and shade. Many Cruise & Scoot hosts rent both.
