Privacy Policy

Cruise & Scoot (“we”, “us”) runs cruisescoot.com, a marketplace and operations platform for renting golf carts, e-bikes, scooters and mopeds, plus tools for the hosts and rental companies who list them. This policy covers the website, the Host App and the storefronts and connectors we provide.

• Account details: name, email, phone number and password (stored hashed by our sign-in provider).
• Booking details: vehicle, dates, pickup or delivery choice and delivery address, messages, confirmation codes and receipts.
• Verification documents: a driver’s license and proof of insurance, where a host or rental requires them. These are stored privately and only shown to the host you are renting from and to our staff reviewing them.
• Payment information: handled by Stripe. We receive the payment status, amount, and the card brand and last four digits. We never see or store your full card number.
• Host and business details: business name, listings, photos, pricing, booking rules, customer records you enter, and payout information held by Stripe.
• Rental activity: check-in and return times, hand-off and return notes.
• AI questions: when you use AI features (trip search, Host App “Ask”, and website listing import) we log the text you type or speak, the feature used, and the result (for example answered or not understood). We use this to fix problems and improve those features.
• Voice input: the microphone buttons use your browser’s built-in speech recognition, which may send audio to your browser vendor to be turned into text. We receive only the resulting text.
• Device and usage data: pages viewed, browser type, approximate location from IP address, and cookies described in our Cookie Policy.

• To create and run your account, process bookings and payments, and send receipts and booking notifications by email and text message.
• To let hosts verify renters and manage dispatch, check-in and returns.
• To prevent fraud, enforce our rules, and keep riders and vehicles safe.
• To provide and improve search and AI features.
• To measure site use and, where you allow it, marketing performance.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed:

• Hosts and rental companies you book with receive your name, contact details, booking details and any verification documents they require.
• Service providers that run the platform for us: cloud hosting and database (Lovable Cloud, built on Supabase), payments (Stripe), email and text message delivery, and AI processing (Lovable AI). They may use your data only to provide their service to us.
• Analytics and advertising partners, only if you accept those cookies.
• Legal and safety: authorities or insurers when required by law, or to respond to an accident, theft or dispute.
• A business transfer, such as a merger or sale, in which case this policy continues to apply to your data.

We keep account and booking records while your account is active and for as long as needed for taxes, accounting, disputes and legal compliance. AI question logs are kept only as long as they are useful for improving those features. Verification documents are deleted when no longer needed for your rental, or when you ask us to delete them, unless we must keep them for a dispute or the law.

• Ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal information by emailing us.
• Change cookie choices at any time from Cookie settings.
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in any message, or reply STOP to a text. Booking and safety messages will still be sent.
• Residents of some states, including California, Virginia and Colorado, have additional rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. Email us to exercise these rights and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

Data is encrypted in transit, access to records is limited by role, and verification documents are stored privately. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Our services are not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We will post any changes here and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will also notify account holders by email or in the app.
