How to price your golf cart rentals as a host
September 24, 2026 · 5 min read
Pricing is the lever hosts most often get wrong, in both directions. Too low and you are busy but barely profitable. Too high and your calendar stays empty. A simple process gets you close fast.
Start with the local market
Browse comparable listings in your town: same seat count, similar condition, and similar delivery options. Note their daily and weekly prices, then place yours near the middle until you have reviews.
Know your costs
- Insurance, registration and any permits or licenses.
- Charging or fuel, cleaning, and routine maintenance.
- Platform and payment fees, which you should include in your math.
- Your time for delivery, pickup and turnarounds.
Use tiers and add-ons
- Offer lower effective daily rates for weekly rentals to encourage longer stays.
- Charge extras for delivery, child seats, coolers or accessories.
- Raise rates for peak weekends and holidays, and lower them in the off-season.
Set a deposit
A refundable deposit sized to your typical damage risk keeps renters careful. Explain clearly what it covers and when it is returned.
Review monthly
If you are booked solid weeks ahead, nudge prices up. If calendar gaps keep appearing, adjust or run a short promotion. Small, regular changes beat big guesses.
